AI anxiety at work: Staying clear-headed and human

AI visual

Even when you’re very comfortable with AI, a quiet worry can surface: if we delegate everything, what are we for?

The fear of no longer being relevant has a name: FOBO, the fear of becoming obsolete. Naming it already makes it less overwhelming. This module helps you regain your footing: base your confidence on what you choose to fully own, not on the list, shorter every year, of what AI can’t do, and keep the time you save from turning into pressure.

~20 min at your own paceKey skill: Keeping Work Meaningful with AIAvailable in FR + ENNo prerequisites

What you’ll take away

  • the parts of your job you choose to keep
  • the joy of choosing not to follow everything, backed by a few reliable sources
  • a set of habits to keep your mind sharp and avoid cognitive debt

Who it’s for

Anyone who wants to stay clear-headed and calm as AI transforms work, and managers supporting their teams.

Learning objectives

  1. Name your fears about AI, such as FOBO and AI anxiety, so you can face them without letting them take hold.
  2. Place human value in what you choose to fully own (judgment, responsibility, presence) rather than in what “resists” AI.
  3. Avoid the three traps that drain you: the productivity trap, supervision boredom, and cognitive debt.
  4. Hold this stance daily (choose your tasks, embrace JOMO, keep your abilities sharp) and, as a manager, protect your team’s sense of purpose.
