Easing mental overload: Energy follows attention

AI visual

Switching tasks always leaves some attention behind: up to 40% of productive time is lost that way.

Making room in your head doesn’t require doing less: it starts with letting go of the worries, control, and perfectionism attached to each task. This module then helps you refill your three energy bowls (body, mind, and heart) and exercise a little-known right: not taking part in everything that demands your attention.

~20 min at your own paceKey skill: Managing Mental LoadAvailable in FR + ENNo prerequisites

What you’ll take away

  • a habit for instant relief: writing down what’s on your mind to clear it
  • the body as a compass (knotted stomach, shallow breathing) to know when to stop
  • a way to use AI that filters out the noise instead of adding to it

Who it’s for

Anyone who wants to clear their head and choose where to focus, and managers who protect their team’s attention.

Learning objectives

  1. Understand why fatigue comes less from thoughts than from the emotions attached to each issue: overload is primarily emotional.
  2. Maintain your three energies (physical, mental, and emotional) by identifying what drains and what refills each one.
  3. Protect your attention: use deep focus blocks of 90 to 120 minutes, close open loops, and turn off notifications in time slots.
  4. Practice non-participation with judgment and, as a manager, protect your team’s attention, with AI as a partner, not a parasite.
