Spotting stress early: Triggers and warning signs

AI visual

“I’m fine, it’s just a phase”: the phrase that keeps you holding on—and hides how long it’s lasted.

Adapting, coping, “living with it”: these strengths are also a trap, because the longer you hold on, the less you feel the water rising. This module shows you how to identify the precise sources of your tension, read the warning lights your body and mood switch on first, and recognize which phase you’re in while it’s still easy to act.

~20 min at your own paceKey skill: Stress managementAvailable in FR + ENNo prerequisites

What you’ll take away

  • the four families of stress sources, so you can name yours precisely
  • the two-week stress journal that reveals your personal warning lights
  • the three questions that tell you whether it’s time to leave the resistance phase

Who it’s for

Anyone who wants to read their own signals in time and act before stress sets in.

Learning objectives

  1. Identify your stress triggers in four families: the way work is organized, relationships, environment, and socioeconomic context.
  2. Recognize your personal warning lights across the four dimensions (body, emotions, mind, behavior) using the stress journal.
  3. Identify your phase (alarm, resistance, exhaustion) in Hans Selye’s model and avoid the over-adapting trap.
  4. Allow yourself to see your stress despite a culture of “holding on,” and ask for a trusted outside view.
